    Img 0364January at Drake University means J-Term, an intense, single-month session where students fit an entire "semester" course into a full-time daily experience.  For some, that means putting on a musical in about two weeks worth of rehearsals.  This year, the production is Cabaret... and you're all Willkommen (Welcome) to the Kit-Kat Klub.

  • "What's Your Damage?"

    Img 0310In Heathers - the Musical, the audience is presented with a wonderfully wild depiction of high school, and the costs involved with being popular.  It's a dance we've all had to navigate in our youth, although hopefully not to the extremes shown at Drake University this weekend (November 17 - 20) at the Harmon Fine Arts Center.

    Karla KashKarla Kash is many things, and all of them extraordinary.  She is head of the B.F.A Musical Theatre program at Drake, a prolific director for theatre groups all over the area, and an actress who has performed coast-to-coast and around the world.  And she's singing this Saturday at Noce's Late Night Cabaret.
